Hi, welcome to the web site, my name is Harry Brewster, and I'm glad you found your way here. The site is really my cyber space scrapbook, and here you’ll find a bunch of photos that I’ve taken with the aid of my trusty digital camera. Did I say "a bunch of photos"? Would you believe more than 2,000 in about two years, and that’s only about a tenth of the photos I’ve taken. Let’s hear it for digital cameras.
Newest dance performance photos / images:-Granville Island was where you needed to be on August 17 celebrating the great sounds and dances of Mozaico Flamenco Dance Theatre, Check out the Hip-Hop dancers on Granville Island with SOULdiers' Dance. Enjoy Pacific Music and Dance with the Langley Ukulele Esemble & Kauhane Polynesian Dancers. Get the taste of Africa with Miyanda and Kunaka from All Over The Map. Travel with me All Over The Map but first of all lets visit Silk Road. End of the 2007-2008 Discover Dance series was a colourful, elegent production by Vancouver Korean Dance Society, Last of this indoor season from Allsorts, Lorita Leung Chinese Dance & Moving Dragon,
On the side menu you will find Dance Performances 2005-2008, and of course this is where all the various groups are located.
Dance Performances 2008
Dance Centres Discover Dance first production of the year was Compaigni V'ni Dansi and the Louis Riel Metis Dancers, followed by Funky Brewster Cauling, then Arts Umbrella and finished the current season with the Vancouver Korean Dance Society.
New Works Dance Allsorts kicked of the year with Yuaikai Ryukyu Taiko with Fujima-ryu Japanese Classical Dance the same afternoon, next was Fresh Groove Productions and the same afternoon Rubberbandance Group, final show for this season Lorita Leung chinese Dance & Moving Dragon.
New Works All Over The Map started the 2008 season with a visit to the Silk Road, followed by Miyanda and Kunaka, then there was Langley Ukulele Ensemble & Kauhane Polynesian Dancers. Hip-Hop with SOULdiers' Dance, flameno with Mozaico Flamenco Dance Theatre.
Other Dance Productions started with Misfit, then Canada, My India! both South Asian Arts productions.
Dance Performances 2007
New Works dance productions performed at the RoundHouse with Middle Eastern dance with Ninawa Eastern Magic, Contemporary African dance with Compagnie Danse Nyata Nyata, Contact improvisation dance with Edam, Urban youth dance with Move: the Company, Performances on Granville Island with Japanese Drumming and Dance, Uzume Taiko, the Sweetpea Swing Band with Night and Day Dancer, next punjabi Celtic Fusion with Violet Moore Irish Dance, music by D2D, the Latin sounds of Tango with the Tango Paradiso Ensemble and Dancers, followed by the African sounds of Kocassale Dioubate and Friends, finishing the summer run with and Music and dance .performances with Traditional Indonesian Dance, Fall and Winter started Wen Wei Dance, then along came Harbour Dance, Binet Rahma and Rahma Haddad, and to end the year we had South Asian Arts and Footedge in "Bollywood Seen".
Dance Centre dance productions with Bale Brazil and Capoeira Malês, next was South Asian Arts with Footedge Dance Company, next was Dancers Dancing but I was asked not to photograph this group, late May found Jessica Jone and Ya-wen performing Triaspora with music by the Orchid Ensemble. The Fall season began with the Violet Moore Irish Dancers music by members of the North Shore Celtic Ensemble, then came African Stages, a short preview of Izabobo, a new work by Comfort Ero, tap dance was the last of the 2007 Discover Dance series performed by members of Vancouver Tap Dance Society.
Other dance productions with Carnival, of course big group of Brazilians, Grupo America, Mozaico Flamenco, some Bhangra, from the VIBA, and more Belly Dancing from Ala Nar, Diwali, which included performances by Rena Boggeram, Gargy Bannerjee, Footedge Dance Company, United Bhangra, Trisha Rampersad, Aruntha Premarajah, Virtha Dance and PANJ Boys.

Photos of Ache Brasil, The Lioness can also Roar, Kababayang Pilipino, Swarm, Lakbay-Journey, Mozaico Flamenco Dance Theatre, Brazil Day, Diwali, Temptation of Buddha, and Ballroom and Latin Dancing.
Dance Performances 2005
Photos of Virtha, Flamenco Rosario, Footedge Dance Company, Forras Folk Ensemble, Grupo America, Outriggers Band and Dancers, and Venus and friends Bellydancing. Add to that photos of Strathcona Chinese Dance Company, and a play, A Comedy Of Errors.
Sports photos, Women's Soccer, UBC v U of S Huskies, Women's Rugby, UBC v Meraloma, Kits Beach Volleyball, Pro Beach Volleyball Tourneys, including the Provincials for 2006 and 2007. Soccer, Stanley Park Tennis, Vancouver Open Tennis Tourney, Tennis at Indian Wells, Irish Football, and Rugby.
Photos of Bald Eagles, sitting and flying, Blue Herons, Swans, Ducks, several varieties, Butterflies, Dragonflies, and lots of Dogs. For flower photos we have Roses, Irises, Dahlias, Tulips, Daffodils, etc, etc.. For those of you aware of what goes on in the real world try Hunter, for a taste of "predator and prey".
